Dashboard editing reference

1. Before using GUI controls (theme, sidebar, time range, save, XS review), open Dashboard GUI map below; do not guess menu locations.
2. Read the current unsaved draft through Edit JSON; REST reads saved state only.
3. Preserve unrelated fields and local IDs. Use existing source IDs and visualization manifest IDs.
4. Fetch source metadata, selected dashboard examples, or individual visualization specs only when needed.
5. Test changed SQL with explicit variables keyed by name and resolved from/to timestamps. Check the error field even with HTTP 200; bound exploratory results.
6. Preserve requested time ranges. Otherwise verify a useful range from source data; report missing data.
7. Apply the complete edited JSON, review the changed panels and layout, and Save dashboard only when persistence is requested.
